This sample wants to help you to decide a considered choice and to be familiar with the form of working of your example, before you begin with the real knitting.

Herringbone pattern 1

The number of stitches is dividable by 13 plus 2 stitches on the edge. 1st and 3rd row: 1 stitch on the edge, * knit 2 stitches out of 1 stitch (i. e. to grab once the foremost, then the backmost wire netting), 4 stitches right, lift off 1 stitch right, knit together 2 stitches right and pull the lifted stitch over them, 4 stitches right, knit 2 stitches out of 1 stitch, constantly repeat from *, 1 stitch on the edge. 2nd row: All stitches left. 4th row: Al, stitches right. Repeat these 4 rows constantly.

Herringbone pattern 2

The number of stitches is dividable by 10 plus 1, plus 2 stitches on the edge. 1st and 3rd row: 1 stitch on the edge, 1 foldover, 3 stitches right, knit together 3 right stitches, 3 stitches right, 1 foldover, constantly repeat from *, 1 stitch right, 1 stitch on the edge. 2nd row: All stitches left. 4th row: All stitches right. Repeat these 4 rows constantly.

Herringbone pattern 3
