Before you finally choose your knitting example, take time to knit a work sample of your knitting example – however it isn’t this work sample, which you knit normally to measure the numbers of stitches in breadth and the rows in height in centimeters. Only so you can compose your own opinion about the possibilities and the effect of the example after your form of knitting – especially if it’s a model of your phantasy This sample wants to help you to decide a considered choice and to be familiar with the form of working of your example, before you begin with the real knitting.
Angular corners will be wrought in a trimming, which will be knitted crosswise such as on a jacket placket on the neckline. We show you 2 different kinds of these angular corners, which you can make even right, in purl one example, most stitch sample or in corded edge example. Our example is knitted in corded example.

If you begin at the outside edge: Mark a centre stitch, which should build the corner. On the front side, in every 2nd row of the work you knit together 3 stitches ahead the centre stitch at the right side, make 1 turn down, after this knit the centre stitch right, make 1 turn over, Then pick up 1 stitch right, knit 2 stitches right and encase the picked up stitches over these. Knit the work of the stitches on the back round left. If you begin at the inside edge: Marks a centre stitch, which should build the corner. Continue with the work according to the information on page 20 “double grow with turn downs”.
Here the stitches won’t be increased or reduced, but it's a matter of a pattern contrast in certain breadth, which builds the edge of the real pattern to avoid that the knitting work rolls in. Because of this reason you first knit the lower edge horizontal in a purl one, moss stitch or in a corded pattern and to continue afterwards in the same breadth the same pattern only at the edge in the level, the other stitches will be knitted on (e.g. even right) in the basic pattern.
If you begin at the inside edge: First mark the corner hereby no middle stitch is intended. a) At the front side of the work you knit from the stitch ahead of the marked corner 2 stitches right: once the fore and Then the picked up hind wire netting, Then knit on as usual. b) At the back side of the work you knit from the stitch ahead the marked corner 2 stitches left: once the fore and once the picked up hind wire netting, Then knit on as usual. Repeat both lines currently. If you begin at the outside edge: Mark the corner, too also here no middle stitch is intended. a) At the front side of the work you knit the two last stitches ahead the corner right together, knit on the other stitches as usual. b) At the back side of the work you knit the penultimate stitches ahead the corner left, lift it again on the left needle and draw the last stitch ahead the corner over these knitted stitches, Then lift it up again on the right needle and knit the other stitches as usual. Repeat this both rows further.
You begin at the inside edge: Mark a middle stitch on the corner. At the front side of the work you knit in every 2nd row from the stitch ahead the centre stitch 2 stitches right once fore and once hind of the picked up wire netting. Knit from the middle bow 2 stitches right. At the back side of the work you knit as usual left.
If you begin on the inside edge of the placket, take a middle stitch in every 2nd row on both sides (a middle stitch). If you begin at the outside edge, take up a middle stitch in every 2nd row on both sides of (a middle stitch). You can use the double increasing according to page 19 and 20 respectively the double decreasing according to page 22. All assigned functions are suitable for square corners (conducted in every 2nd line).
(Mostly, used for v-shaped collars). If you begin on the inside edge, take a middle stitch in every row on both sides. If you begin on the outside edge, take up a middle stitch in every line on both sides of. For these corners you can use the information on this and the following page. Most of these corners will be achieved on the right side and some on the left side. Knit in rounds. The increasing or decreasing is always on one side.
If you begin on the inside edge, take in every 3rd, 4th or 5th row on both sides of the middle stitch. At the act of increasing or decreasing you can use the information on page 19 and 22, too, but if they’re worked alternate at the front side and back side you have to try out, which form is possible.
