Decreasing plays an important role as the increasing, as well on the margins as on the arm or neckline cut-out. If you achieve it accurate and you apply it with phantasy it can be affecting decorative on a simple knitting model.
We show the different forms of the simple decreasing, which are achieved at the edge or in the centre of knitting. Often you work it apparent and decorative on v-necks or on skewing of the raglan etc.
At the front side of the knitting:
1) Covering decreasing: Slip up 1 stitch right. Knit the following stitch right. Draw the slipped up stitch over the knitted stitch.
2) Slip up 2 stitches right (at first the 1st, Then slip up the 2ndstitch from the left side on the right needle). Make one looping and draw both slipped up stitches over the loop.
3) Knit 2 stitches twisted right together (it means to pick up on both stitches the back wire netting).
At the back side of the knitting:
A on the front left side running decreasing you achieves it as follows (if you are forced):
1) Slip up the just know knitted stitch from the right needle with the left needle; draw the following unknitted stitch of the left needle over the already knitted stitch and slip it again on the right needle.
2) Knit the stitch left twisted together: At first pick up the back wire netting of the 2nd stitch and Then of the1st stitch with the right needle.
At the front side of the knitting: Knit 2 stitches right together.
At the back side of the knitting: A on the front side right running decreasing, achieve as follows at the back side (if you are forced): Knit 2 stitches together.
It is used mainly in break and Herringbone pattern, on laces of the v-necklines and on skewing of the raglan.
At the front side of the knitting:
1) Double covering decreasing: Slip up 1 stitch right. Knit the following 2 stitches together and Then draw the slipped up stitch over the together knitted stitch.
2) Knit 3 stitches right twisted together. Although pick up the back wire nettings consecutively.

At the back side of the knitting:
A on the front left side running projecting double decreasing you achieves it as follows at the back side (if you are forced):
1) Knit 2 stitches left together. Slip up this stitch again on the left needle (now it is the centre stitch). Draw the following unknitted stitch from the left needle over the just now knitted stitch. Slip it again on the right needle.
2) Knit 3 stitches left twisted together, while you pick up at first from the 3rd Then from the 2nd and Then from the 1st stitch the back wire netting.
At the front side of the knitting:
1) Knit the 3 stitches as customary together.
2) Slip up one stitch right. Knit the following stitch (centre stitch) right and draw the slipped up stitch over this. Draw the following unknitted stitch of the left needle over the just now knitted stitch and Then slip it again on the right needle.
At the back side of the knitting:
A on the front right side running projecting double decreasing you achieves it as follows at the back side (if you are forced): Slip up 1 stitch left. Knit the follow stitch (centre stitch) left. Slip up the follow stitch and pick it again twisted on the left needle. Slip up the centre stitch again on the left needle and now draw the twisted stitch over this. Slip up the centre stitch again on the right needle and now draw the first slipped up stitch over this.
Slip up 2 stitches right (while you puncture with the right needle at first in the 2nd, Then in the 1st stitch from the left to the right). Knit the following stitch right. Draw the both slipped up stitches over the knitted stitch.
